The first bit of concrete is poured!

The first bit of concrete has been poured for the footings! Our nearby neighbour Mary sent me the photo of the pumper truck! And now, the footprint of the house becomes more tangible!
The footprint is 1,100 square feet. So, it's a comfortable size for our family. Serena will likely be working from home at some point, so there is a studio for her. Right now we are home schooling- so we have a "dedicated messy space". But it is less than 50% of what we could have built on the very large corner lot [8,944 ft2]. We could have built a footprint that was 2,325 sq.ft, or a house that was 5,813 square feet in floor area! We will have a lot of land for an edible garden.
