The house is almost completely wrapped with an air barrier. The last bit under the balcony will be done after the columns are put in to hold up the balcony. We used a peel & stick strip around all the window and door openings to seal them tight. The red vertical strips are the tuck tape lines sealing the tyvek vertically.
Is there a reason why the Tyvek brand name is almost always installed upside down? Perhaps it is easier to install it that way, with the way the roll goes?
ReplyDeleteIf that's the case, wouldn't Tyvek flip their logo printer around?
Practically every house I see has it upside down.
I don't believe there is a reason why it's upside down. Perhaps it's the sense of humour of the installers. It works the same either upside down or not.
